Hi there!

So, you like to listen to an overly active growling and screaming baboon supported by a horde of long-haired bashing monkeys on bass, guitar and drums, a.k.a. “Death Metal”? Well, you’re in the right place then!

I love the stuff myself and I can’t seem to discover new bands quick enough to stay satisfied. I mean, it’s not like they play it on the radio or anything. At least not where I live. (If you live somewhere else where they do play it on the radio during day time, let me know and I’ll move there.) Occasionally there’s a half hour of it on our national version of MTV, but of course that’s always in the middle of the friggin’ night. Because then nobody’s watching. And still you only get those bands that you already know about. Of course, YouTube can be a big help, but you still have to search and browse and be lucky to strike something you like.

Hence, why I’ve created this blog! I plan to spoon-feed you your daily portion of Death Metal and related forms of loudness. A couple of music videos a day, some news, some whatever you like (send me ideas if you have them!). Saves you from having to search for what you like all the time and, hopefully, you (via the Link Dump Option) will help me find some new music as well.

Even the most hardy fans of DM may like an occasional moment of peace and quiet. I know I do. Thankfully, many bands in the genre can help you with that too. Melodic acoustic music that would make Beethoven jizz in his pants. I’ve created a Heavenly Acoustics category specifically for this. And for those moments when you like things louder but you’ve just no need for the baboon’s vocal efforts: Awesome Instrumentals.

Finally, I know there are a lot of people out there, with more talent than I, that record their musical efforts on video and seek worldwide fame on YouTube. Only the effort is already worth praise! I will regularly post videos of those Talented “Amateurs” (note the quotation marks!) here, because I absolutely think they deserve to be known!
