Burial Earth

It’s been a while since I wrote something, but this is mainly due since we had Christmas, I had to work, we had guests over etc. A bloody busy Christmas it was for me. So just to relax, I’ll kickstart my writing with some good old Melodic Death Metal. Although this genre seemed to have somewhat bled to death for me, there are still some gems left alive, which seem to catch my attention from time to time.

One of them is Burial Earth, who are a Netherlandish band (officially abandoning the word Dutch, because it’s stupid), which arose from the ashes of Docile in 2009. In 2010 they released their first demo simply called Demo 2010.

This demo consists of three tracks, which can all be streamed below. All tracks mainly contain solid Death Metal, but they are characterised by some splashes of both Melodic and Blackened Death Metal. My favourite track is the first song Burnt, but for some reason I can’t get that one to play on their Bandcamp, so while this waits to be posted, I’ll hope it fixes over time.

Demo 2010 can be bought for only 40 cents below. Since I’m underaged, I don’t have a damn credit card, but else, there would have been 40 cents underway to a bank account somewhere in the Netherlands, because it’s totally worth it.

In case Burnt isn’t fixed by the time this is posted, then head over to the Burial Earth Facebook page, where you can stream Burnt, and download a song called Embers of a Curse for free!
