Byrd’s Ten Favorite 2011 Freebies (Part 3)
So far we’ve had two LPs and two EPs on the list. Part 3 will add one more to each column.
The list so far:
10. – Savage Messiah – A Plague of Conscience
09. – Blastanus – Collapse
08. – Meankind – 22.Zero
07. – The Apocryphal order – S/T
06. – Incise – From the Crypts They Rise

I found this one right here at The Baboon when Niek reviewed this debut by German Deathsters Incise. This isn’t just Melodeath or just Old-school Death but a perfectly blended hybrid exhibiting traits of both, and then some. Give a listen to the title track, From the Crypts They Rise, and taste the sweet riffing and catchy song-writing that awaits you on this album.
Download the album here and check out their Facebook here.
05. – Immolation – Providence

New York’s Death Metal legends Immolation teamed up with Scion A/V to produce the Providence EP. I don’t know if Scion’s involvement with Metal is helping them sell cars or not but if the cars are as good as this EP I’ll definitely be looking at one come next time I buy a car.
If you’re familiar with Immolation then you know that they play a dark and oppressive slab of Death Metal. No frills. Straight forward, heel to your face DM. They shot an official video for the song Illumination and it’ll be our sample.
You can pick up Providence here and Facebook ‘em here.
