A melodic Death Metal band from South-West England. What’s special about Engraved Disillusion is the strong and clearly hearable inspiration they draw from one of the co-founding bands of metal, Black Sabbath. Let’s go and interrogate Marc, one of the two guitarists in the band. Song included!

If you like your metal loud but melodic and with a good pinch of darkness and a tad of symphony, you should most definitely check out Red Descending. These Australians have harvested praise and applause worldwide with their 2008 debut Where Dreams Come to Die. And now they are working on their second album. I’ve had a chat with Bernard Shaw, the band’s vocalist and bass player.

Earlier this week I posted some material of a band from a then new and now still unorthodox metal nationality on The Baboon: India’s Demonic Resurrection. Earlier this year their third studio record The Return to Darkness was released. Since that time I have been spending a considerable part of my attention on this band. Time to take a closer look at them.

The Baboon has already done a few simple band promos to support upcoming Death Metal bands with great potential. Today we have a Greek band. Alex Bondroit, guitarist in Greek upcoming band Margin of Existence came to us and it quickly became clear that these guys deserve the support.

Jarkko (a.k.a. Satanikk Desaster), guitarist to Finnish death thrashers The Jasser Arafats, came to me with some of their new promo stuff. I’m warning you though, this stuff is fuckin’ awesome! I just got hooked myself. Anyway, I’ll throw out a couple of their new songs, starting with KAOS. After that listen to the spicier, thrashier Condemnation. Finally, close off with Stillborn and Axis Reborn.
Oh, and here’s a link to their MySpace.

Adnan, guitarist and singer to the Bosnian/Herzegovinian melodic Death Metal band Agonize came to me with a request to post one of their music videos. Naturally I checked it out and discovered this is some hot stuff these guys are packing! Black-metal-like singing and some quick-paced raw but melodic riffing.
The band has existed since 1997, with a stable line-up since 2000. The Perfect Day is the first track from their 2009 EP, titled The Fever.
Be sure to check out their MySpace for more!

We’ll start the day with a short piece of relaxing piano play. Very short. Oh, fuck it! Let’s make it metal anyway. I don’t know much about these guys, other than that they play an awesome piece of progressive metal! They’re called Eyes on Fire and definately deserve some more publicity. Listen to a song called The Outcome is Murder.
