Rockin’ Out with Ancient VVisdom
It’s been awhile since we rocked out, eh? I say we ease back into it with some Occult Rock. Our vehicle for this blasphemous journey will be Austin, Texas’ Ancient VVisdom. Formed in 2009 they put out their debut full-length, A Godlike Inferno, in 2011. I’ve got two official videos for songs off that album lined up ahead.

I’ll just present these in the order I found them myself. First up is The Opposition, a hymn to the dark lord himself. As with most songs on A Godlike Inferno it uses both acoustic and electric guitars with some catchy-as-hell vocal melodies. It’s also probably one of the heavier songs here, so that’ll let you know what you’re getting into.
Next is World of Flesh. Something about parts of this one make me think Alice in Chains, but not like “holy shit they’re rippin ‘em off”. Expect more of the minimalist structure and acoustic / electric inter-play and overall catchiness, though this time with a good emotive solo.
These two songs should give you a pretty decent idea as to whether Ancient VVisdom is your thang or not. A Godlike Inferno is only eight songs deep and they range from three minutes to just under six with most being on the shorter side, so the ride is over before it has a chance to mellow you into a puddle of blasphemous goo.

So relaxing sounds! Catchy as hell as you said.
At the beginning of the second song, I thought it was a Metallica tribute..
Btw I laughed hard when I saw the black metal / Tom Warrior looking guy in the first vid! So funny

@ Megaptere: Yeah, the painted dude seems a little out of place for this type of music.
Also, I followed the link in your name and downloaded. I only had time for some brief sampling at the moment, but from what I hear so far, its very nice!
