Rockin’ Out with The 69 Eyes
With this edition of Rockin’ Out I offer you some Finnish Gothic Rock by way of The 69 Eyes. Imagine if Type O Negative had a Glam influenced Gothic sound. If that sounds like something you can dig and/or you like videos with hot vampire chicks check this out.
These guys formed back in 1989 as a Glam outfit similar to fellow Finnish glamsters Hanoi Rocks. They didn’t morph into their current Gothic state until nearly a decade later. They are up to their sixth full-length release since incorporating their darker sound, though those of us who experienced the Glam culture first hand can still hear and particularly see it’s influence lingering.
Our first taste comes from their latest album Back in Blood from 2009. This is the official video clip for Dead Girls are Easy which was directed by Bam Margera and in my opinion is their best song just because it rocks a little harder than most of their material. A video full of hot vampire chicks don’t hurt either.
Hell, let’s do another official video from Back in Blood titled Dead n’ Gone. This one was directed by and features Bam. As mentioned earlier it doesn’t rock out quite like the previous video but it does have more scantily clad female body images and that’s half the fun!
To wrap things up we’ll go two years or one album back to 2007′s Angels. Perfect Skin is the track along with another official video. The Glam sound is a little more present in this one especially around guitar solo time and of course a little more girlie skin.
