Here´s some folk metal from Austria! This is a song from their 2010 album Heidenmetal and is their second release. These guys formed up in 2005 with a goal to scare the living hell out of the world, bring rebellious pagan metal to the people and to play entertaining shows for as many crowds as possible. This is Bifröst (Bifrost is the bridge between the land of gods and the land of men according to norse mythology)

From a band called Trashcanned you’d surely expect pure thrash metal tunes. Well, Trashcanned from Austria combines it with Death Metal and a pinch of metalcore in the choruses. They formed in 2003 and this one’s off their latest, Key to the Paradox (2010).
From CroOZza‘s excellent music collection!

Austria’s Artas has been playing melodic Death thrash metal since 2006. The group has released their debut album The Healing in 2008 and did so through Napalm Records, not the least label. It can only mean that this shit is good shit!
Thanks to CroOZza!

Heathen Foray is Austrian. There are no Vikings in Austria. But that doesn’t keep the band from making folky Viking metal. The five-man formation started playing their raw folk tunes in 2004. After a somewhat amateuristic demo in 2007 they have now put out a full-fledged album that sounds all that much more professional. Particularly recommended for fans of Amon Amarth!

Astaroth is symphonic black metal from Austria. This band has been active since 1995. Their last album, Organic Perpetual Hatework, is from 2005, so I’d say it’s time for a new one. SoulCloned is found on that latest album.

Pungent Stench were pioneers of Death Metal, from their start up in 1988. Unfortunately they are no longer together, since they split up in 2007, but they did leave the world five studio albums and a range of other material. Vive la Muerte is found on the group’s 1993 Dirty Rhymes and Psychotronic Beats EP.

A few days ago I posted a static vid of Austrian melodic death metallers Lost Dreams. Thomas pointed me at this music video they made. From the group’s 2008 album End of Time: I Curse You.

More melodeath. This one from Austria. Lost Dreams started back in 1992 and released four studio albums so far. Wage Of Disgrace is of this year. Here’s the title song.
