A Rant and Some Danish Delight

Wed, 03/11/2010

I may have mentioned here and there that at the current fuckin’ moment I’m not in the ice-cold Netherlands. I’m on vacation for a short week. To Copenhagen, Denmark, where it’s nice and boiling hot… Not really, but it still is an awesome city I’ve been told. It’s also inside the Metal Mekka that’s called Scandinavia!

I doubt I’ll be visiting any concerts – my girlfriend’s not a fan and this is a trip for two – but what I can do is make sure that you at least enjoy a good portion of Danish Delight. My favorite band of Great Danes is called Mnemic, so they’ll take the honors.

There’s also a bit of a rant there, because frankly, some people need some sense talked into them.

Four Fresh Fuckin’ Bands

Mon, 20/09/2010

Today we’ve got another load of new bands that you really should have heard at least once in your life. We’ll start the fun with The Mark of Man, hailing from New Zealand, that produce their Melodic Death to turn attention to the mistreatment of animals. After that, friends of Industrial Metal will be made happy by The Interbeing. Third, Livarkahil, from France, will vibrate your ears and to close off, we’ll have some more complex metal, in the form of RXYZYXR.

The Arcane Order – In a Hail of Deadly Bullets

Thu, 17/06/2010

It seems Denmark is the country to go look in if you’re trying to find melodic metal with an industrial angle of attack. The Arcane Order formed in 2005, came out with two full-lengths so far, the first of which is 2006′s The Machinery of Oblivion. In a Hail of Deadly Bullets is an incredibly tasty piece of music from that album. Dark but melodic. Mechanic but groovy. Enjoy it!

Thanks again CroOZza!

Submission – Imaginary Freedom

Sun, 13/06/2010

A blistering piece of industrial Death thrash from Denmark. Unfortunately these guys are no longer together, but they did leave the world a couple of albums and an EP. Code of Conspiracy (2008) is their last one. Spoil your ears with Imaginary Freedom.
