Another one from Germany then. Crosscut produces a thrashy metalcore with elements of nu metal and some groovy stuff. Of the very aggressive type too. They started out in 1992 and are still paving the road today, despite that their last album was released already six years ago. It’s called Director’s Cut and features Burn Down Las Vegas.
Again thanking Jonas!

Anyone ever hear of a guy named Will Smith, a.k.a. The Fresh Prince? Anyone ever imagine that his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, fronted a metal band? Well, It’s true! Wicked Wisdom formed in 2003 and is currently on hiatus. Bleed All Over Me is from their self-titled 2006 debut.

We’ll start the new week with Soil, an American metal group, founded in Chicago in 1997. Though their style is hard to typify, they come closest to some mixture of alternative, nu and death metal, depending on which song/album you’re listening to. AS suggested to post the song Halo, so that’s what we’ll do. Thanks mate!

An American alternative/nu/Latin metal band, formed in 1998. Personally I’ve known these guys for a quite a while already and I really do appreciate the percussion and the Carlos Santana-like guitar solos. They have a new album coming up somewhere in 2010, which will be their fifth. Their third, One Nation Underground was released in 2005 and contains This is War.
This one’s thanks to Sam!

I wasn’t sure whether to post this in the ‘fun’ category or not. I’d say it depends on whether they are paroding or not. In any case, they are Japanese, so you’d expect a certain degree of excentricity. This is Maximum the Hormone’s Zetsubou Billy.
Thanks to byrd36!

Brutal fonias requested this one. I know there’s a lot of controversy surrounding Slipknot. I’m not a big fan of them myself, although I do think Corey Taylor has an excellent voice (much better displayed in his other project Stone Sour). Still, Psychosocial, from their latest album All Hope is Gone, is a song I must admit to rather like. Has nice groove to the main riff.
If you feel the urge to discuss or spill your opinion, do keep it civilized!

Nothingface was an American metal band, active from 1994 to 2004 and 2005 to 2009. Difficult to describe their style, but nu-metal, alternative metal and thrash metal mixed, would do a fair job. Breathe Out is from their 1998 album An Audio Guide to Everyday Atrocity.

A long time ago I posted some Five Finger Death Punch. I didn’t have as many visitors yet, so I feel these guys deserve a second shot. This is a live performance of my favorite song, called Ashes.

Otep (also written as OT3P) is American metal. Strange flavor though. Bit of nu metalish. The band was formed in 2000, by its female singer Otep Shamaya. This track is called Crooked Spoons and is found on the group’s 2007 the_Ascension album.
Thanks to Will!
