Vyrion
Australia has once again proved to be a fertile ground for growing top-notch Metal. Brisbane’s own Vyrion have been harvested by The Baboon to be served up fresh today. These Blackened Progressive Metallers have been at it for a few years and released their first full-length in the late summer of 2011. An intro and nine tracks that I assure you are incredible.

Track two, Ever Rising Platform, hooked me at first listen. It is a very rare happening that I’ll imediately replay any one song without first giving the full album a cursory listen. Ever Rising Platform made me break that habit. It opens slowly with some gruff, yet clean vocals before exploding into Blackened glory, a hell of a song to open a hell of an album. I’m going to embed the Bandcamp player here so that you can stream this beast at your leisure.
